Revere police seek a pair of suspects accused of trying to stab an officer then fleeing in a car chase that ended when the pursuing officer crashed into a pole.

On Thursday, a Revere officer was injured when his cruiser was wrecked while he was chasing the still-at-large suspects, and now police have released photos to help catch the duo, Revere police stated.

In the week before Thursday’s chase, various Massachusetts State Police agencies had been looking for Michael Gouthro, 44, and Jaqueline Murphy, 32, because of five outstanding warrants between them, police reported.

When the pair was stopped in Revere, police said Gouthro tried to stab the officer with a syringe before taking off with Murphy in a late model two-door Honda Accord.

They were last seen in that car, which has a stolen Massachusetts license plate reading 833TK1.
