It doesn’t have an official name, like Mark Sanchez’s Jets West, but Antonio Cromartie’s defensive backs camp in California is beginning to take shape.

The Jets cornerback, who stepped up last year after a season-ending injury shelved Darrelle Revis in Week 3, is hosting a number of players at his California home over the next few weeks. The players, primarily in the secondary, began to filter in last week for the training time with Cromartie, who is now the veteran of the unit.

Metro New York has learned that cornerbacks Royce Adams and Kyle Wilson, along with safety Josh Bush, are already there and training with Cromartie in California. In addition, cornerback Ellis Lankster will arrive Monday.

The revamped secondary will use the time to pursue conditioning, but also will participate in on-the-field activities to better prepare and acclimate with each other ahead of training camp in late July.

Two weeks ago at minicamp, Cromartie shed some light on the schedule for his workouts. Monday will be the endurance session, including workouts such as pulling sleds and flipping tires. Tuesday is slotted for agility and fieldwork day. Wednesday combines boxing with yoga. Thursday is on-the-field, and Friday is running in the mountains or canyons.

All sessions will be run by a personal trainer brought in by Cromartie for the workouts. The players will have their own housing for their time out in California.
