Louisville becomes adulterer capital of coaching with Bobby Petrino, Rick Pitino

The Louisville Cardinals, led by head coach Rick Pitino, are the reigning National Champions of college basketball. Bobby Petrino, reportedly re-hired by Louisville Thursday morning after a messy divorce in 2006, could have the Cardinals high in the college football rankings sooner than later.

But what fun is success without a little scandal?

Pitino and Petrino. A match made in white trash heaven. These two were coaching at the university at the same time from 2003-06, of course, but this was before it was known that Pitino went 15 seconds rounds with his blonde friend (Karen Sypher) in court, and well before Petrino went for a joyride with his blonde companion (Jessica Dorrell) in Arkansas. Strangely enough, Jessica Dorrell would be a ringer for Karen Sypher’s daughter in any ESPNU soap opera. Check out this Google image search for Dorrell and this search for Spyher. (Truth be told, I’m going with Rick to Cougartown on this one).

Even funnier is the above clip of Pitino talking about Petrino leaving Louisville for the pro game and his subsequent departure to Arkansas a few years back. In it, Pitino says the following:

“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And (Petrino) always had a wandering eye.”

Perfect.

Here’s guessing these two kings of coaching kink patch things up in the coming months. Party at Rick’s house?
