Crawford can’t seem to shake his Boston experience
Carl Crawford has hit well in his first 20 games as an LA Dodger. The former Red Sox outfielder was batting .306 as of Thursday and had crossed the plate 15 times this season.
Crawford’s mind, however, is still often in Boston, a place where Crawford was miserable.
“I don’t think I smiled in two years,” Crawford told USA Today. “I was just frowning, I started growing grey hairs on my face from the stress and everything for two years straight.
“I try not to even think about my days in Boston anymore,” Crawford said. “It’s still just such a nightmare. Every time I think about it, I cringe.”Things seem to be working out well for both the Dodgers and Red Sox when it comes to their respective outfield situations. Left fielder Daniel Nava has been extremely impressive for Boston as he had 15 RBIs through 17 games played as of Thursday and Shane Victorino has been solid for the Sox in right field, batting .292.
