The pumpkin has finally rotted.

Khloe Kardashian — the tall one — filed for divorce from former NBA player/current crack enthusiast Lamar Odom this weekend, finally providing a dramatic ending to a season of their TV show ending a truly momentous union.

The marriage has been in the process of ending for months due to the reports of Odom’s drug abuse and in-again, out-again rehab appearances. I couldn’t care less about their made-for-TV marriage, but hopefully Odom gets his life back in order. There were rumors the Clippers were interested in signing him last month, but they went with veteran Stephen Jackson instead.

What does it say about Odom’s current life that Jackson is the stable one? Never a good sign.

And it appears Kardashian has already moved on to a different Los Angeles-area athlete: Matt Kemp. Rihanna’s former flame is no stranger to celebrity couplings. (Though someone should tell Khloe that Kemp is on the trade market. How’s Milwaukee sound, Khloe?)

Radar Online reports the Dodgers outfielder is Kardashian’s rebound guy, with the two hanging out a lot lately. On Nov. 25 they attended a Drake concert together, and then a week later were at John Legend’s show at the Nokia Theatre in L.A.

They could just be friends, but remember, there are no male-female friends in Hollywood.

The clincher may be the fact Kemp posted a photo of the Kardashian Christmas tree on Thursday, the same day Khloe filed divorce papers citing “irreconcilable differences” with Odom.

To be fair, the “K” in Kemp fits her family much better.

Best time of the year!! It's gonna b a Cali Christmas this year.
