Celtics roadtrip continues with another loss

Although the Celtics played competitively the entire way, the team still fell, 111-105, Wednesday night to Doc Rivers’ Clippers in Los Angeles. It was the sixth straight loss for the C’s and ninth in their last 10 games. The Celtics fall to 5-13 on the road on the year.

Avery Bradley and Jordan Crawford led the way for the Celtics with 24 points apiece in the loss. Trailing by nine after the first quarter, the C’s fought their way back, trailing by four at the half and even owning a small lead in the third quarter. But they couldn’t hold it for long and in the end suffered their sixth straight loss.

Blake Griffin paced the Clippers with a game-high 29 points in the win.

The Celtics will be back in action Friday night (10:30, CSNNE) at Golden State against the Warriors.

What they’ll be saying: Although the C’s played better than in past losses, a loss is a loss they appear very frustrated. Jared Sullinger picked up yet another flagrant foul and now has five on the year after getting one rescinded earlier on Wednesday — one more and he gets a one game suspension. The Celtics turned the ball over 18 times, which certainly didn’t help their cause.
