Playing the Field: Lingerie football coach goes crazy

The Lingerie Football League is serious, people. Those ladies running around in garters and shoulder pads PLAY TO WIN.

At least, their head coaches think so.

Chris Michaelson, head coach of the Seattle Mist, unloaded on his team at halftime of their game last Saturday. He went full on Mike Rice on these poor ladies, who are just trying to play some football … in their underwear. (By the way, the league is now called the Legends Football League, but it’s legendary in only a negative connotation.)

Michaelson entered the locker room and immediately ripped his team:

“We are playing awful f—ing defense! … Safeties, how many times do I have to tell you to get your f—ing ass back!?”

Then he drops the ultimate in stupid put-downs, saying “Are you guys f—ing retarded!?”

TMZ, which received the important video first, got a quote from an LFL spokesman saying, “Everything is in line as far as what is expected from a football locker room, but we don’t condone the use of the word ‘retarded.’”

Well I’m glad they draw the line somewhere. You’d hate to have women running around in bras be embarrassed.

By the way, the Mist beat the Green Bay Chill (I really hope they play indoors), 55-36, and they were leading by two at the half. Also they did have two interceptions, so their secondary couldn’t have been playing too poorly.

Wait, am I breaking down a box score from a lingerie football game? Sigh.

Just watch the video. The guy is nuts.
