‘All options’ on table for Rob Gronkowski, Patriots
The Patriots are considering “all options” for injured tight end Rob Gronkowski, including shutting the All-Pro down for the remainder of the 2013 season, according to reports from ESPN and WEEI.com.
“He’s the only one who can decide when he’s ready to play and we’re completely behind whatever his decision is,” Patriots owner Robert Kraft told ESPN radio. “Obviously, all of us would like him to come as soon as possible, but we’re not going to let our short-term desire impede what’s right for the long-term.”
Last week WEEI reported that there remains “serious concern” over the integrity of Gronkowski’s injured forearm. There was great optimism at the start of last week that Gronkowski was going to be ready to play in Sunday’s game against the Saints.
