Patriots go on weekend free agency shopping spree
The Patriots had a noisy weekend, days after landing big fish Darrelle Revis, as they came to terms with receiver Julian Edelman, receiver Brandon LaFell and cornerback Brandon Browner.
Browner’s deal was a reported three-year deal worth $17 million though specific terms on Edelman and LaFell’s deal have not yet been disclosed.
Bill Belichick and Co. are still not done in free agency, it seems, as wide receiver Kenny Britt is set to visit with the Patriots Sunday. The Pats also have to figure out what to do with disgruntled defensive tackle Vince Wilfork, who asked to be released by the team last week.
The Patriots have seen several players leave since free agency began last Tuesday, most notably cornerback Aqib Talib to Denver. Linebacker Dane Fletcher agreed to a deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this weekend and linebacker Brandon Spikes has joined former linebackers coach Pepper Johnson in Buffalo.
