Courtesy of Metro Canada, here are what the people in Toronto are saying about the Bruins and their fans:

1. EDDY OKUN, 28, ENTREPRENEUR

“I think Boston fans are really full of themselves ’cause they’ve had some successful teams in the past, but I think for the Bruins, they’re really on their way down right now, and Toronto is a surging team on their way up…it’s just a matter of time until we’re a superior hockey team.”

2. MELANIE CRUZ, 21, STUDENT

“It’s from the heart in Toronto, everyone’s all about hockey here. It’s a Canadian sport and I think we’re just a lot more involved than Americans are. I think we really follow them, and follow them throughout the entire year, not just through the playoffs.”

3. TERRY BOWER 22, INVESTMENT ASSISTANT

“I think we’re a team on the rise, so there’s nowhere to go but up. I think you’ll see us again in the playoffs consistently from now on, and hopefully they can give Boston a little more trouble in years to come.”

4. JOSHUA VIOLA, 25, SALES

“I don’t think they’re(Boston fans) as loyal as Toronto fans are due to the fact that we haven’t been in the playoffs in nine years, but every year, we’re still rooting for our team to the death, it doesn’t matter how good they do, it doesn’t matter how bad they do, Torontonians are always behind them…We’ve still got one game, we’ll come hard with it, so don’t count us out, not just yet.”

5. PHILL COFFEY, BUSINESS OWNER

“We bleed blue-and-white, and they bleed…I would say to Boston, if you beat us, you better win the cup.”
