State Police are investigating the discovery of a dead body found in Revere Monday.

Authorities say the body is a 40-year-old East Boston man whose identity is being withheld.

The body had no immediate signs of violence but a medical examiner is trying to determine the cause, manner and approximate time of his death. The body was found in a yard of an Endicott Avenue home, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office.

The yard had some snow in it, although the man’s remains were not covered in snow nor were they found in a snow bank.

The body was reported to police around 10:15 Monday morning. When police arrived on the scene, the man was unresponsive.

Anyone with information regarding the death is asked to call Revere detectives at 781-286-8340 or State Police detectives at 617-727-8817.
