VIDEO: Magdeberg fans use giant arrows to point the way for goal-starved squad
Disillusioned Toronto Maple Leafs wear their shame in the form of paper bags, but supporters of a German football club have taken a decidedly more active response to airing their discontent.
Things haven’t really been going well for FC-Magdeburg, a fourth-tier German football squad that recently suffered through a five-game scoreless skid, so supporters crafted some props to help make a point during a home game against Berliner AK 07.
Whether it was the arrows or the disheartening echo that reverberates through an empty stadium, the team finally found the inspiration to snap the 558-minute streak of futility with a 79th minute goal by Christopher Wright –which still allowed supporters plenty of time to work on their steadily-improving choreography.
You can catch the goal-borne jubilation at the 7:10 mark on this video.
