Boston police have identified the man who was gunned down and killed in the Lower Allston/Brighton shopping center on Telford Avenue on Thursday. 

The deceased was identified as Desmond Joseph, 30, of Allston. 

Police were looking for a gunman who killed a man in a grocery store plaza late Thursday evening.

Police responded to a report of gunfire in the Lower Allston/Brighton shopping plaza on 124 Telford St. at 11:45 p.m..

Upon arrival, officers found Joseph, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
