“We felt a state prison sentence was appropriate in this case,” Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey said, according to the Boston Herald. “We were ready to go to trial. I am relieved for the victim in this case that the convictions were secured without needing to testify at trial.”

Foley, who worked as lunch lady at Chapman Middle School, was accused of sexually assaulting the 15-year-old victim during various family parties in his home. She was arrested in 2014 and released on a $5,000 bail and though she has no previous criminal record she does reportedly suffer from depression and substance abuse.
