A man from Weymouth has been charged with killing his estranged wife in her home, WHDH reported.

Police arrived at the crime scene at2 Holmes St. in Norton after receiving a call around 7:25 p.m. that a woman had been stabbed.

The victim, 34-year-old Julie Miead, was found unresponsive and quickly taken toSturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, where she was pronounced dead.

Two children, who investigators say belonged to the couple, were removed from the home.

Shortly after the 911 call, police received another call reporting atwo-car crash on Interstate 495 outside of Norton.

One of the persons invovlved in the accident, which left one woman with severe injuries, was Meade’s estranged husband, 35-year-old Martin McDonald.

Martin McDonald was formally charged with the death of his wife on Wednesday and is due in court on Thursday.
