A 25-year-old woman suffered a leg wound after being shot in Dorchester early New Year’s Day, according to a published report.
Police responded to a ShotSpotter notification from Fairmount Street around 5:30 a.m. Friday, according to the Boston Herald. They found a car crash at the scene, but during a search of the area, they found the victim with an apparent gunshot wound near Norfolk Street and Talbot Avenue, the Herald reported.
She was taken to Brigham and Women’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Both the car crash and the shooting were underinvestigationFriday; there was no information about a possible suspect.
