Hey, skiers, things are looking a little sparse, as a paucity of fresh powder will be lacking pretty much right through the weekend. A storm system is producing mainly rain for today and into tonight, even the highest elevations of 3,000 feet and above will be wet today and tonight.

However, a drier and colder air mass will take over as we move into this weekend, meaning snowmaking will be in full mode from the base to the summit starting Friday night.

Skiers, take heart: Winter conditions will be setting in starting next week with the potential of plenty of fresh snow ahead.
