This week, 50 Cent has gone from being "in da club" to being behind bars.

On Saturday, the 40-year-old rapper (whose real name is Curtis Jackson) was arrested for using profanity at his performance in St. Kitts and Nevis. It is illegal to curse in public in the Caribbean island nation.

Although he was warned not to use profanity in advance, 50 Cent used the word "motherf—er" in front of a crowd of 40,000 people. According to TMZ, the police showed up after the performance to take him to the station, booking him for using profanity in public.

50 Cent will have to wait until courts re-open on Monday to settle the issue. He will most likely walk away after paying a fine. Back in 2003, fellow rapper DMX was also arrested in St. Kitts and Nevis for the same charge — he ended up paying a $376 fine and issuing an apology after the incident.

We're just surprised 50 dropped only one F bomb.
