9 friendships that came out of ‘The Bachelor’

Love comes and goes on “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette,” but sometimes, the friendships between contestants are long lasting.Once you’re cast on any of the franchise’s shows, you’re automatically a member of “The Bachelor” family. You’ll get invited to reunions. You may even live in the same city as a couple other former contestants. And you may even get invited back for a spin-off, like “Bachelor in Paradise” (Season 3 should be back in August!).

So while you may miss seeing the bonds made between the men and the women, you don’t have to look far to see who is still hanging out and keeping in touch. Here, we picked out our favorite friendships born on these shows.

1. Carly Waddell and Jade Roper
“The Bachelor” Season 19 and “Bachelor in Paradise” Season 2

These two might take the cake for best “Bachelor” friendship in all its history. They are truly soul sisters. Jade asked Carly to be a bridesmaid in her recent wedding to Tanner Tolbert. And in return, Carly wrote and sang a song about for Janner. Though they no longer live in the same city — Jade moved to Nashville to be close to Carly before joining Tanner in Kansas City, they are close enough for regular visits, all of which are documented on social media.

2. Sharleen Joynt and Andi Dorfman
“The Bachelor” Season 18

Competing for the love of Juan Pablo is one way to create a long-lasting bond. And that was precisely the start to the awesome friendship between Sharleen and Andi. From the time when Andi moved to NYC after calling off her engagement with Josh Murray, she and Sharleen have regular lady dates all around town.

3. Tenley Molzhan and JJ Lane
“Bachelor in Paradise” Season 2

As the only male-female friendship on this list, Tenley and JJ are the odd couple we adore. These two didn’t find romance in Paradise, but they did find a solid friendship that’s grown stronger in the last year. Just a couple months ago, Tenley visited JJ in Denver. The two took in some sporting games and went ice skating. Though they did spark romance rumors, these two are purely platonic. If sweet Tenley thinks JJ is worth her friendship, we can pretty much forget his former villain vibe.

4. Josh Murray and Marcus Grodd
“The Bachelorette” Season 10

“The Bachelorette” is a great place for romance and bromance. Josh Murray got lucky and found both when he was on “The Bachelorette.” Though his engagement with Andi ended a few months later, his friendship with Marcus will go on for all eternity.

5. Desiree Hartsock Siegfried and Renée Oteri Maynard
“The Bachelorette” Season 9, “The Bachelor” Season 18

Des and Renée didn’t battle for the same Bachelor, but they did bond both being in the Bachelor family. The two have grown closer as they both currently live in Seattle. And they’ve since shared in the special moments of each other’s lives. Desiree attended Renée’s wedding and threw her a baby shower just a couple months later. And they have double dates pretty often. We can only wonder when will it be Renée’s turn to throw Des a baby shower…

6.Juan Pablo Galavis and Zak Waddell
“The Bachelorette” Season 9

Not everyone hates Juan Pablo apparently. Though he didn’t exactly woo all the ladies as the Bachelor, he was able to hold onto some solid friendships during his time competing for Desiree’s love. He’s still super close with Zak Waddell — yes, Carly’s brother! Juan Pablo calls both Waddell siblings “familia,” and he even made the guest-list for Zak’s wedding.

7. Samantha Steffen and Amber James
“Bachelor in Paradise” Season 2

Even though she made a couple enemies during “BiP,” Samantha did walk away with a couple new friendships, including one with Amber James. The two have been meeting up all over the place, including San Francisco for the Super Bowl. Amber also gave her new BFF a shout-out at New Year’s with the quote “Unexpected friendships are the best ones.”

8. Becca Tilley and Kaitlyn Bristowe
“The Bachelor” Season 19

Forget love, these two found an unbreakable bond. They’re constantly showing their Twitter love as they root each other on as they looked for love on “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette.” In response to a fan that was Team Becca as the next Bachelorette, Kaitlyn wrote “Becca for president. She won’t have a problem finding a man. Ever.” And when Kaitlyn was breaking hearts at the last Bachelorette, Becca always tweeted as she watched along, wishing she could talk to her pal during the process.

9. Becca Tilly and Joelle Fletcher
“The Bachelor” Season 20

Becca became friends with pretty much everyone, which isn’t surprising since she rocks that cool California girl attitude. Most recently, she’s all about her friendship with Joelle. Just a few weeks ago, Becca posted a snap from a “Bachelor” rose ceremony of her sitting next to Joelle with the caption, “Thanks for letting me wear your spanx on this night, Jojo. It made our friendship stronger and my dress fit better.” We love these two. If JoJo doesn’t get Ben’s final rose tonight, we hope we’ll see them both on “BiP!”
