Actor Josh Duhamel dons bunny suit to encourage early education

The former Transformers star and husband to singer Fergie took to the Venice Beach boardwalk in California in a bright pink, Christmas-story inspired bunny suit Wednesday to help spread the message of a national non-profit that encourages young children to read, according to the Daily Mail.


Actor Josh Duhamel took his role as an advocate of early education a bit literally.

The former Transformers star, and husband to singer Fergie, took to the Venice Beach boardwalk in California in a bright pink, Christmas-story inspired bunny suit Wednesday. His intentions were to help spread the message of a national non-profit that encourages young children to read, according to the Daily Mail.

Duhamel, whose son Axl will celebrate his first birthday in August, announcedlast month that he is the celebrity ambassador for Jumpstart's 9th Annual Read For The Record campaign.

Duhamel, 41, helped spread the word about Jumpstart's campaign goal: to break the record for the most people reading one book on one day (Oct. 21).

The book? "Bunny Cakes," by Rosemary Wells.

And now it all comes together.

"As a new dad, I'm proud to be part of a campaign that advocates early education for all children," Duhamel told The Daily Mail. "The best part of our day is story time with Axl."
