It looks like the success, and peacefulness, of May 15’s Night Market in Old City — the neighborhood-hopping food truck extravaganza — has convinced that neighborhood association’s honchos to organize its own street fair, along the lines of Rittenhouse Row Spring Festival. Nothing is scheduled yet, but the association is supposedly working fast.

If a street fair happens, Old City might have a Honey’s Sit ’n Eat joining the festivities. Jeb Woody and Ellen Mogell’s already have two always-crowded Honey’s restaurants, the original in Northern Liberties and the newer spot on 21st and South.Word of an Old City location at 228 Vine St., next to the Painted Bride Art Center — possibly with a liquor license — started March 2013. Rumor is it’s being fast-tracked and the opening will be no later than late summer.

Though it was released in 2010, “Straight & Butch” still has legs. The documentary is from one-time Philly cable access host Butch Cordora, about his calendar featuring local heterosexuals posing nude with him. It’s being shown on HereTV on May 30 at 8 p.m., the same night the Ritz at the Bourse makes it part of their Midnight Movie Madness summer series.

Recent Metro cover stars Tommy Up and Sarah Brown got their wish, with their controversial Kickstarter project reaching its goal just before the holiday weekend. The pair set out to raise $36,700 to open the Yachtsman, a Fishtown tiki bar. They got that and then some, with 282 backers pledging $39,295. The Yachtsman is scheduled to open toward the end of July.

Seen on the scene

After a month-long Philadelphia shoot, “Bad Boys Crazy Girls,” the working title of the first romantic comedy from local documentarians Don Argott and Sheen Joyce (“Art of the Steal,” “As the Palaces Burn”) wrapped on Memorial Day at an apartment house in Media. “Boy, am I tired,” said Tommy Joyner, the MilkBoy Coffee and Recording Studio co-owner who, with his business partner Jamie Lokoff, made “Bad Boys” their first film production. Along with stars Reid Scott (“Veep”), Adam Pally (“The Mindy Project”) and Sarah Burns (“Drunk History”), the film features cameos from Philly’s Kate Flannery (“The Office”) and several off-the-record comic notables.

Former 76-er/current “Inside the NBA” analyst Charles Barkley visited Del Frisco’s steakhouse with his wife and local sports anchor Howard Eskin. After hanging at the bar for 45 minutes before being seated, Sir Charles was friendly to all who approached for photos.
