Aye, poor Brandy.
The singer performed to an empty, 90,000-capacity stadium last weekend in Johannesburg, South Africa, as part of the Mandela Sports & Culture Day. Due to poor publicity, the crowd left after the football and rugby matches, not realizing — or maybe they did? — that Brandy was set to perform.
Per the tweet of @Kabomo, a South African musician, “Brandy performed to an empty stadium. With the stadium lights on. She sulked after two songs and walked off.”
Which, you know, is more than I would have done. I would have looked out and hightailed it to a bar, where I would then sit for the next 30 years of my life and think about how it all went wrong.
