Cate Blanchett stopped my fashion-hating heart in this simple-yet-dashing Valentino Spring 2014 gown paired with a Hervé Van der Staeten gold necklace at the 10th Annual Dubai International Film Festival on Friday in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
This is the second year that Blanchett headed the jury selection for the film fest, probably for a very large sum of money. "We had such a robust collection of submission," said the actress at the award’s red carpet opening, per The Hollywood Reporter. "The short list was very sophisticated, unique and diverse. It was a terribly hard decision."
Eventually, she decided upon filmmaker Waleed Al Shehhi of the UAE for his film "Dolphins," which was penned by Ahmed Salmeen, a local poet and author.
