Justin Bieber canceled his tour, and John Mayer approves

Justin Bieber Cancels Tour

On Monday, news broke that Justin Bieber — he of the ridiculous tour rider requests — had canceled his world tour due to “unforeseen circumstances.” No specific reason was given, which is fine, frankly. Bieby Baby is probably just going through some real s—.

The full statement read—

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Justin Bieber will cancel the remainder of the Purpose World Tour concerts. Justin loves his fans and hates to disappoint them. He thanks his fans for the incredible experience of the Purpose World Tour over last 18 months.

“He is grateful and honored to have shared that experience with his cast and crew for over 150 successful shows across six continents during this run. However, after careful consideration, he has decided he will not be performing any further dates.”

Now, John Mayer has decided to reassure everyone that Bieber made the right decision which, girl, I guess.

The very talented, very thirsty singer-songwriter took to Twitter to be like, hey guys, I met Justin one time and this decision seems A-OK with me!

“When someone pulls remaining dates of a tour, it means they would have done real damage to themselves if they kept going,” Mayer wrote. “We’ve lost so many great artists lately. I give Justin [two white emoji thumbs up] for realizing it was time to call it. You should too.” Inspirational!

For what it’s worth, Mayer — who once cancelled a tour in 2012 after learning he had a granuloma on his vocal cords — is currently on the road himself. Is he patting himself on the back because of the mere fact that he’s on tour and Justin Bieber isn’t, anymore? I don’t know! No, seriously, who could know?
