Channing Tatum and his wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum welcomed a baby girl on May 31 in London. They’ve named their daughter Everly, according to a statement on Tatum’sofficial website. Wait, Channing Tatum has an official website? I didn’t think A-list stars did that anymore. How adorably 1998 of him.
More importantly, though: The baby was born in London. Do you know what this means? It means Channing Tatum is the father of aBritish child. Imagine the rows when Papa Channing wants to bond with his offspring through good old American pursuits like barbecues and Iron Man triathlons (that’s how I imagine he gets that neck), and little Everly just wants to have tea and crumpets and talk about the queen (that’s what I imagine it’s like to be a British child).
OK, so that’s not how British immigration law works. Stop spoiling my fun.
Tatum, who set female hearts fluttering in the summer movie hit “Magic Mike,” was named Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine last fall.
“My first thought was, ‘Y’all are messing with me,’” Tatum told the magazine after hearing the news.
He also mentioned that he hopes for a bigger family. “The first number that pops into my head is three, but I just want one to be healthy and then we’ll see where we go after that,” he told the magazine.
