Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith may think there’s nothing untoward about a photo of her 13-year-old daughter Willow Smith lounging in bed with a 20-year-old, but Child Services begs to differ.
The Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services has opened an investigation into the Smiths’ parenting of Willow following the release of the photo, according to Radar.
“The investigation was formally opened last week and is being taken very seriously by the department,” an insider told Radar. “Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have been extremely cooperative with officials. Of course, they aren’t happy that their parenting skills are under scrutiny, but they understand.”
The source revealed that the department intends to interview Willow separately, as well as Moises Arias, the 20-year-old actor/photographer/socialite in the picture. The investigation will likely remain open for at least a month, the source said.
This investigation might persuade the Smith parents to take the photo more seriously: Last week, when asked about it, Jada seemed pretty cool with the whole thing.“Here’s the deal: There was nothing sexual about that picture or that situation,” Jada said. “You guys are projecting your trash onto it, and you’re acting like covert pedophiles, and that’s not cool.”
Child Services does not seem to think we are the pedophiles here.
