Chris Brown on drug-fueled downward spiral: Insiders

The biggest records R&B singer Chris Brown seems to be dropping lately have to do with drugs, lawsuits and restraining orders.

At least the story Brown’s friends and staff are spinning in a new report published in Billboard Thursday.

Brown’s violent, drug fueled tendencies first hit the limelight in 2009 after an episode with then-girlfriend Rihanna, which left her bruised, bloodied and hospitalized.

In February the courts granted Brown’s ex, Karrueche Tran,restraining order after she claimed Brown physically abused and threatened to kill her.

Last year the singer’s ex-manager of four years Mike Guirguis quit and sued the singer after he too wound up in the hospital following a drug and alcohol-fueled confrontation, the report states. The suit states Brownsuffered from “addiction, anger control and violence issues” during the entire time the pair worked together.

Brown, who is diagnosed with bipolar II, is known to not take his prescribed pills and instead self-medicate with cocaine, molly and lean—amixture of promethazine, codeine syrup and soda.
