Women take all in British book competition

Four women writers are in the running to win some serious money.

Four lucky ladies are up to win Book of the Year at the Costa Book Awards. Four lucky ladies are up to win Book of the Year at the Costa Book Awards.

The winners of the Costa Book Awards, aprestigious book competition for British and Irish writers were announced this week and the shortlist for the best novel of 2013 are all women. The winner won't be announced until January 6, but the publishing community is already buzzing about the four potential women novelists who are up to win the grand prize of 30,000 British pounds.
