Diner en blanc has gotten big enough to earn a rival, of sorts. The annual all-white outdoor dinner party that attracts thousands of in-the-know guests to a super secret location this Thursday is getting a little competition this year from — what else? — diner en noir.
As at diner en blanc, there’s a strict dress code for its darker counterpart: Head-to-toe black, with a pop of red. Guests will gather their chairs and tables, food, and wine Thursday evening and wait for the secret location to be disclosed so they can show up, set up, and dine en masse. DJ Robert Blake will provide the music.
