The world is not such a sad and dark place as previously thought, as a rumored plot to abduct Emma Watson from the set of "Beauty and the Beast" turns out to be totally made up. A taxi driver near the London area film set claimsto have overheard two studio employees discussing plans to make off with the actress — and really, can you blame them? I mean, yes, of course you can if they actually kidnapped her. But can you blame them for wanting to? You know what, I'm just digging myself a deeper and deeper whole here.

Anyway! "There was a concern about her safety," a source tells the Sun, but apparently it didn't last very long. A spokesman for the film tells Vogue U.K., "The story was looked into by production and found to be unsubstantiated and untrue." Well, that's a relief.
