Evan Peters admits that when he first tried hitting on his “American Horror Story” co-star and now-fiancée, Emma Roberts, it didn’t go so well.
“I didn’t really know how to approach her or talk to her or any of that stuff,” Peters tells Vulture. “I tried to talk to her a few times and, I don’t know, I kept saying the wrong thing. I would just try to make jokes, you know? But they weren’t going over very well. You know how when you like somebody and then you say things kind of like a fifth-grader? You like the person so you kind of tease them a little bit or you joke around a little bit? Emma didn’t get that I was joking, so it just kind of came off all wrong.”
It hasn’t been an easy road for these two.Emma Roberts was arrested on July 7, 2013,for domestic violence. She and Peters were staying in a Montreal hotel when a fellow guest heard them fighting and called the police. Because Peters had clear physical injuries, including a bloody nose, the actress was taken into custody.
However, Peters declined to press charges, so Roberts was released after a few hours, according to theDaily Mail.
