Feminists on the half shell

Women come in all shapes, sizes and inclinations. And experimental playwright Young Jean Lee employs six females of diverse proportions to enact her new work, “Untitled Feminist Show.”

Hardly a word is spoken in “Untitled Feminist Show,” though some are mimed, especially by wry cabaret artist Amelia Zirin-Brown, aka Lady Rizo. Meanwhile, burlesque bombshell World Famous “BOB” and downtown dance star Hilary Clark, padded with rolls of flesh, resemble escapees from a Lucian Freud painting.

Most naked people on display suck in their guts. Not here. The cast lets everything hang out, celebrating physical attributes and evoking the pioneering dance spirit of Isadora Duncan. You may find yourself comparing your own shape with these outstanding specimens. With no dialogue to follow, you’re free to revel in all this nudity. You may be quite startled when, for the curtain call, the performers return fully dressed. Neither play nor dance, “Untitled” is an adventure in voyeurism — and it’s a bold one.
