As if he wasn't having a bad enough day.
Rapper Flavor Flav was arrested Thursday morning in Valley Stream, New York, on the way to his mother's funeral. Police stopped Flav, who was allegedly doing 79 in a 55 zone, for speeding. After they pulled him over, they found he had 16 suspensions on his license, according to NBC News.
Flav was arrested on charges of felony aggravated unlicensed operation and traffic violations. He was released later in the day in order to attend his mother's funeral.
A small amount of marijuana was also found in his possession, but the cops don't appear to have charged him for that. They were probably relieved that he hadn't completely turned his back on his favorite hobbies in his time of grief.
Flavor Flav, 54, notified fans via Twitter that his mother had passed away on New Year's Day.
