Fox hopes that by releasing footage from its revival of "The X-Files" 10 seconds at a time, fans can build up some emotional tolerance for seeing these characters again.
It's a nice though, but we're still going to lose our minds when it all comes together.
After the first glimpse of Fox Mulder and Dana Scully bursting into a room, guns drawn, we got another 10-second clip late last night. This time there's dialogue, with Gillian Anderson proving she can still do Scully's compassionate whisper like it's 1997 and she'd just found Mulder half-dead in an abandoned warehouse.
Fellow X-Philes, let's just hope our colleagues forgive us our stifled squeals of joy as the long season of teasers rolls on. The show returns for six longer-than-10-seconds episodes on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016.
