Proving that not everyone has parents who subscribe to HBO and are generous with their HBO Go logins, the latest episode of “Game of Thrones” managed to break a piracy record. According to TorrentFreak, 193,000 people shared last Sunday’s episode on April 14, and then 1.5 million people watched it the next day. Very impressive?

The massively popular show doesn’t appear on Hulu or other streaming sites the next day, which may account for its tremendous popularity with torrent users. What was the second biggest download day ever? Last year’s “Game of Thrones” finale, which was shared by over 170,000 people.

Everyone likes breaking records, but this one probably isn’t going to go on a plaque at HBO HQ any time soon.
