‘Game of Thrones’ catch-up: Where we left your favorite characters

It’s been nearly a year since “Game of Thrones” graced our televisions, so we totally understand if you’re a little rusty on what’s happening to whom across that really cool, moving map of Westeros. But don’t despair! We’ve rounded up the fan-favorite “Game of Thrones” characters to give you a quick refresher on what they’re up to.

CHARACTER: Arya Stark (Maisie Williams)
LAST SEEN: Taking her destiny into her own hands and setting sail for Braavos.
HEADED NEXT: Continuing on her journey to becoming the most bad-ass hero in the series.

CHARACTER: Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke)
LAST SEEN: Learning how difficult leadership and raising dragons can be.
HEADED NEXT: Dealing with more unhappy new subjects. And she still has a dragon on the loose to worry about.

CHARACTER: Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage)
LAST SEEN: Being snuck out of King’s Landing after murdering his father and ex-girlfriend.
HEADED NEXT: Hiding out in Essos, talking smack with Varys (Conleth Hill). Exile doesn’t have to be uncomfortable.

CHARACTER: Tywin Lannister (Charles Dance)
LAST SEEN: Dead, on the toilet. Your memory really is pretty bad, huh?
HEADED NEXT: Nowhere fast.

CHARACTER: Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright)
LAST SEEN: Losing some friends to skeleton monsters, being told by a mystical tree that he’ll be able to fly soon.
HEADED NEXT: Somewhere interesting, but not this season. He’s sitting this one out.

CHARACTER: Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer)
LAST SEEN: Dodging a bullet with Joffrey’s timely wedding reception death-by-poisoning, then ending up engaged to his younger — and we do mean younger — brother, Tommen. (Dean-Charles Chapman)
HEADED NEXT: Dodging icey glances from her still-future-stepmom, Cersei. Speaking of…

CHARACTER: Cersei Baratheon (Lena Headey)
LAST SEEN: Getting it on with her brother Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) after filling in Papa Lannister on the true nature of their relationship.
HEADED NEXT: Probably more incest. And marrying off another son.

CHARACTER: The Hound (Rory McCann)
LAST SEEN: Bleeding on a hillside after his fight with Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie), foresaken by Arya.
HEADED NEXT: Don’t count him out just yet.

CHARACTER: Jon Snow (Kit Harrington)
LAST SEEN: Triumphant at the battle of Castle Black, but still sad and brooding because his wildling girlfriend (Rose Leslie) took an arrow through the heart.
HEADED NEXT: The wilds beyond the wall aren’t done with him yet, and winter is still coming.

CHARACTER: Ned Stark (Sean Bean)
LAST SEEN: Still dead, still headless. Still sad.
HEADED NEXT: That’s just mean. And a terrible pun.
