Manhattanites, prepare for a welcome wintry blast.

As of Thursday morning you’ll no longer need to leave the borough to get your Dairy Queen fix, when its third New York location opens just two blocks from Union Square.

The store will mark the Blizzard maker’s first two-story outpost in the country, though it remains to be seen whether the 2,500-square-foot space will be enough to appease the city’s need for frozen treats this time of year.

For its Manhattan debut DQ has created a special Big Apple Blizzard, featuring apple pie blended into vanilla soft serve, to be served only at the 14th Street store, Eater reported. Also on the menu will be Orange Julius products and the $5 Buck Lunch, touted as the only fast food value meal that comes with a sundae.

The company has 6,400 locations in 27 countries, which makes you wonder what took them so long to bring one to Manhattan. Two other locations, in Massapequa and the Staten Island Ferry Terminal, opened in 2013.
