Gigi Hadid may be young, but she knows how to stand up for herself.

The 21-year-old supermodel was leaving the Max Mara show during Milan Fashion Week when a male stranger grabbed her from behind and tried to lift her up. Hadid responded both verbally and physically, elbowing the attacker and yelling at him, "Who the f—k are you, you piece of s—t?"

In an interview in today's Lenny Letter, Hadid reflected on the incident, telling Lena Dunham that "muscle memory" from her athletic past as a volleyball player and more recently, boxing, spurred her quick reflexes.

"It just came out when he grabbed me, I couldn't help it — it wasn't a choice. I do have that fighter in me," she said.

Although Hadid was clearly the victim in this scenario, the young "It girl" has received flack for fighting back. Hadid vented to Dunham about a headline describing her self-defense as "not model behavior."

"First of all, it was a woman who wrote a story with that headline. What would you tell your daughter to do? If my behavior isn't model behavior, than what is?"

You go girl. Looks like Hadid has just made a name for herself as a kick-ass young feminist.
