Fox has announced that Hank Azaria will voice the lead character in Seth MacFarlane’s latest animated series, “Bordertown.” The show will premiere in 2015 and take the place of “American Dad,” which moved to TBS. It tells the story of two families living in a border town, one headed by a border patrol agent, the other by a hard-working Mexican immigrant. Of course, it’s hard to know how Azaria will have time to use his voice for this, considering he continues to voice half the town of Springfield on “The Simpsons” (Apu, Moe, Police Chief Wiggum, Carl of Lenny and Carl, Comic Book Store Guy).

Since Alex Borstein, who plays Lois on “Family Guy,” will also be appearing, we’ll assume that “Bordertown” will work around his schedule. Though seriously, does the man even have any more voices left to try? We’ll assume so, since he also came up with voices for Cletus the Slack-jawed Yokel, the Sea Captain, Kirk Van Houten, Dr. Nick … we should probably stop listing them. We bow to his endlessly creative voice-creating ability.

Look forward to “30 Rock”‘s Frank (Judah Friedlander) also lending his voice, if not his trademark hats, and for the “Napoleon Dymanite” fans out there, Efren Ramirez of “Vote for Pedro” fame will also be on the show. Azaria’s co-star will be Nicholas Gonzalez in the role of Ernesto Gonzalez. Ramirez was most recently seen getting the brush off from Lieutenant Abby Mills on “Sleep Hollow.” Tough break, buddy.
