Harrison Ford's return to the world of "Star Wars" has been fraught with real offscreen peril: The Millennium Falcon bit him.
As a fan, I'm glad to know that both Ford's character Han Solo and his ship the Millenium Falcon will be back for J.J. Abrams' Episode VIII, but that's probably scant comfort for Ford, who was taken to the hospital after a door on the Falcon set injured his foot.
"Harrison Ford sustained an ankle injury during filming today on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII. He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care. Shooting will continue as planned while he recuperates," Disney told the Hollywood Reporter.
I really hope he's going to be OK, mainly because I am a nice person, but also because I want to feel free to be amused by the idea of a sulky Millenium Falcon lashing out at Han Solo. Did he call it a bucket of bolts one too many times? Was he too busy making out with Princess Leia to fix the hyperdrive? Did it just hate "6 Days, 7 Nights" that much?
