Earlier this spring, Harry Shearer struck fear into the hearts of “Simpsons” fans everywhere by saying he’d been unable to come to terms with the show over his return, and thus would be moving on to greener pastures. The actor, who voices an extensive array of Springfield residents, had said in May that he would not be returning, but it now seems that whatever disputes he had with the show have now been resolved, as the show’s Twitter account announced that all principle cast members would be returning. So stop trying to imagine the horror of a Springfield where Mr. Burns just sounds all weird — he’s on board again! And go back to imagining just what Fox had to do to convince the actor to come back. Lots of money? Mr. Burns miniseries? Changing the show name to “The Burns”? Better parking spot, for sure.
We are extremely pleased to announce that all principal cast members of #TheSimpsons have now been signed. Woo Hoo! pic.twitter.com/pRHW8WJ2oY
