There's more money in pop songs than magic spells. This year, at least.
One Direction tops Heat Magazine's list of the richest young British celebrities, with reported earnings of $95.7 million (or 59.33 million pounds) for the past year. That edges out "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe, who raked in a reported $91 million (or 56.18 million pounds), probably mostly for royalties from the Potter films.
Of course, Radcliffe's just one dude, and there are five Directions splitting that 95 mill. That's not even 20 mill per Direction - maybe even less, since I feel like Harry Styles gets paid more than the others, don't you think? They're practically paupers compared to Potter.
Fellow absurdly rich young people with adorable accents include Robert Pattinson, #3 on the list with $71 million (44.16 million pounds) and #4, Keira Knightley, with $62 million (37.28 million pounds).
“Her biggest expenditure put through the books was £41,000 on security but she spent little else,” a source said regarding Keira's finances. “Her travel costs were just over £4,000 and she didn’t pay for a personal trainer, despite spending almost £1,000 on one the year before. The accounts also show that she did not shell out a penny on clothes and make-up.”
