Hilary Duff just figured out dating is terrible

Hilary Duff is speaking out about divorce, co-parenting and dating, and now she knows what all of us knew already: it’s not always a gay old time.

The “Younger” actress admits to Redbook she’s used to it now, but divorce is still a major drag. Duh! “Some of my friends tell me, ‘God, it must be so nice, you get a break from your kid because you share him,'” Duff says. “I’m divorced and it sucks. Well, it did suck for a while; now it’s just normal.” Um, okay!

The 29-year-old, who is for the record not single, also laments that dating in L.A. is the worst. “I never think being single sucks until I go out in L.A. with my girlfriends and the options are terrible. I really attract the old men!” Just so you know, Duff is dating a musician named Matthew Koma right now. He’s 29, which is just prehistoric, apparently.

I’m assuming he’s involved in some sort of mystical Benjamin Button situation.
