‘Hollywood Medium’ Tyler Henry connects with Brittany Murphy’s spirit in an emotional reading

An emotional rollercoaster is the best way to describe Sunday’s “Hollywood Medium” premiere. Tyler Henry is a 20-year-old medium and clairvoyant who helps celebrities connect with the dead. In the first episode, a reading with actress Jaime Pressly takes a shocking turn.

“This is going to sound a little strange,” Henry says. “I don’t know if I want to bring this person through.” His lungs begin to hurt as he describes a younger woman, who feels like she died too soon and blames an outside influence. Pressly looks perplexed until Henry mentions a “B” initial and Britney Spears (signifying a similar name).

Upon hearing this clue, Pressly blurts out, “Brittany Murphy.” Henry is unfamiliar with the late “Clueless” actress, but Pressly is immediately taken aback by the connection with her former friend. Even fans got emotional:

In December 2009, Murphy died suddenly. Although pneumonia was cited as the primary cause , the 32-year-old’s death sparked plenty of conspiracy theories — especially since her husband, Simon Monjack, passed away from a similar cause five months later.
