Is there a new Bling Ring? Maybe!

Sometimes life imitates Sofia Coppola movies … right? Recently there’s been a spate of high-end Hollywood robberies, which saw jewelry and large sums of cash swiped from the homes of the rich and famous, namely Kevin Hart, Chris Brown, Scott Disick and Blac Chyna. Now law enforcement officials are telling TMZ that they might be connected — they might be copycat burglars who themselves are stealing an idea from the original “Bling Ring,” the group of youngs who nicked goods from Paris Hilton, Orlando Bloom, Lindsay Lohan and more back in 2008 and 2009.

Their exploits were chronicled in Coppola’s 2013 film, and maybe a new group of kids saw that and thought getting busted and milked for an art movie was a solid idea. Or maybe there is no new Bling Ring and this is all simply a coincidence. Either way, you should watch Sofia Coppola’s underrated motion picture “The Bling Ring.”
