Your (brief) “‘Mindy Project’ is canceled!” nightmare is over: The show has officially been picked up by Hulu. There were rumors that would happen as soon as the show was canceled by Fox, where it had aired for three seasons, but now Variety has announced that the deal is official. A fourth season of the show will be available on Hulu, but only to subscribers, so maybe now is the time to sign up for Hulu. Per Variety, “Mindy” has been one of the more popular shows on the streaming service. So popular, in fact, that Hulu went ahead and ordered 26 episodes for the new season, which is some extra episodes beyond the usual season order. Hulu can also pick it up for additional seasons if it does well. In a statement, Kaling said“I am thrilled ‘The Mindy Project’ has found a new home on Hulu, where so many of our fans are already watching the show.
