People have blamed Yoko Ono for breaking up The Beatles since before they even broke up. But Paul McCartney has definitively said that she had nothing to do with it.
In an interview with Sir David Frost that will be available to view later this year, Sir Paul has come to the defense of John Lennon’s expressive widow.
“She certainly didn’t break the group up,” said McCartney. “I don’t think you can blame her for anything.”
Here is a photo of the three in question at the premiere of “Yellow Submarine” at the London Pavilion in 1968. Speaking of movies, McCartney is starring in “Rockshow,” which will be shown starting Thursday in cinemas nationwide for the first time in 33 years. It’s a documentary about Macca’s post-Beatles group Wings and their 1975-1976 Wings Across America tour. Could give “Iron Man 3” a run for its money, eh?
