J.J. Abrams revealed the cast for “Star Wars: Episode VII” yesterday on StarWars.com. They all look cozy doing a table read of the script.
You can spot the OG’s —Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Anthony Daniels (C3P0), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), and Kenny Baker (R2D2) — but there are some fresh faces scattered in there as well.
So just who are these upstarts? “Inside Llewyn Davis” star Oscar Isaac made the cut, as well as Andy Serkis, who is probably best known as Gollum in “The Lord of the Rings.” “Girls” actor Adam Driver, “Attack the Block”‘s John Boyega, Domhnall Gleeson from “In Time” and Daisy Ridley from “Blue Season” will also be making an appearance.
We’re looking forward to the press conference where Harrison Ford publicly hugs Chewbacca, and they fully put their differences aside.
