James Franco posted this photo on Instagram, then deleted it. (Via Instagram)
We need a word for a certain kind of selfie that's become all too ubiquitous: the kind where one is gripping, displaying or otherwise flaunting one's junk. I propose "junkie."
I mention it because of James Franco, who posted the above junkie (see how well it works?) to his Instagram last night, captioned "JUMP ROPE." Franco quickly deleted the pic, but that's kind of a futile gesture for a celebrity on the Internet, you know? We still have it, obviously. We put it at the top of this blog post.
Was it a sext gone wrong? Performance art? Boredom? A bedtime story for Lindsay Lohan? Also, what's all over the back of his phone? Bits of chewing gum? As always, we have more Franco questions than Franco answers.
Someone needs to take away the keys to that guy's Instagram because he's been making all sorts of decisions he regrets. Recently, he admitted to hitting on a 17-year-old Scottish teenager. Maybe he should stick to handwritten letters for a while. Looking for postage and walking to the mailbox gives you plenty of time to rethink those dodgy Polaroids.
