We met up with Jane Lynch last week, as the actress was using her summer break from “Glee” to promote Febreze.
Sure, she shared some anecdotes that she might not have said were the company not paying her, but there was one departure from the script that we thought was funny enough to include here. When we asked her about the worst smell she ever encountered, she ended up dissing big department stores and making fun of the most powerful couple in music.
“When you go to Macy’s or Bloomingdales and someone is standing there with perfume, and they spray you without you really saying ‘yes.’ You kind of smile at them, and they take that for a ‘yes’ and they spray you with Beyonce’s new scent, that you’re not interested in at all, and then you have it on all day. I’ve had to go home and change my clothes because of that. I had Beyonce all over me! Please don’t write this, because her husband will come after me. Or the sister in an elevator.”
